Who are you?
My name is Katherine Telkamp (She/He/They), and I am a Properties Artisan and Technician based in Mankato, Minnesota. I hold a B.S. in Theatre from South Dakota State University and a M.F.A. in Production Design and Technology from Ohio University. Outside of work, I enjoy writing, music, tabletop gaming, and reading.
What do you do?
Currently, I am working freelance as a designer, writer, and artist. I have experience with being a propmaster, shop manager, and artisan. I've done plays, musicals, and interactive experiences of all kinds. I take pride in my attention to detail with every show I work on. I also have some experience teaching and mentoring, helping other artisans learn about puppetry, sewing, and painting.
What have you made?
I've taught classes, I've been a Propmaster for productions academically and professionally, and worked as an artisan, props run crew, actor, and special effects designer.
